DR. Zivia Kay
Co-chair' Research on Culture of Civil Hacktivism
DR. ZIVIA KAY is a Co-chair of StreetVis, urban action as open source, international conference. Kay is a visual ethics researcher, in her Ph.D. research she coined ‘The Signature of Appearance’- pointing at an innovative conjunction between urban design, visual ethics, political philosophy and hacktivism. She is a senior lecturer in Bezalel, Academy of Art and Design, Jerusalem; and a Visitor assistant prof. at the Faculty of Architecture and Town Planning, Technion, Haifa. Kay is a Polonsky Library fellow at the Van Leer Jerusalem institute and the Culture and Concept Director at Israel100. Her expertise is Visual Hacktivism and Concept based Design. Her own studio kUAH specializes in hacktive appearance and innovative civic, strategies. She participates in conferences and exhibitions. She publishes papers in journals and edited volumes on the Signature of Appearance and hacktive appearance. Kay is a Polonsky Library fellow at the Van Leer Jerusalem institute.
